Romeo (Mich.) district mulls whether to close its largest elementary school

From The Detroit News: The Romeo (Mich.) Community School District is considering closing its largest elementary school, but a group of concerned parents is making its case on why it should remain open. The school board has decided that it will have to close one of its elementary schools to help plug a $3.8 million budget deficit, and Croswell Elementary is at the top of the list. Croswell was closed through most of the 1980s and 1990s because of similar financial troubles.
