Royal Oak (Mich.) officials say high school merger has been a success

Two schools combined last year because of declining enrollments.

Administrators in the Royal Oak (Mich.) district say it has not been easy bringing two distinct cultures together when Dondero and Kimball high schools merged and became Royal Oak High School. Some things could have been done better, they say, but overall they consider the transition a success. The district combined the schools last year because of declining enrollments.
