Oregon district seeks $242 million bond issue

Voters in the Salem-Keizer (Ore.) district will be asked in November to approve a $242.2 million school construction and repair bond. The money would pay for a new middle school in West Salem; three new elementary schools in the West Salem, South Salem and McKay high school boundaries; and $109.3 million worth of repairs to existing buildings.
