The Salem-Keizer (Ore.) School Board plans to ask voters to approve the largest school construction bond in state history. The bond would be placed on the November 2008 ballot and likely would be from $355 million to $544 million, to be used for new construction, renovations and repairs and property purchases. Among the projects that could be in the proposal: one high school, two middle schools and nine elementary schools.
