Schools struggle over policies for social media

From The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette: Across the country, governments and school districts are struggling to keep up with the furious growth of social media -- and its grip on how young people communicate. Some schools have banned teachers and students from becoming "friends" on Facebook. But others believe that social media, texting and other electronic communication should be used as learning tools.
