Students diving in at San Diego State University

After seven years without a pool, San Diego State University is opening the $12 million Aztec Aquaplex. The facility gives the university's water polo and diving teams a home for competitions, and enables the school to again offer swim classes and water aerobics to the community. Students voted to raise their campus fees $16 a semester to pay for the complex . It has a 50-meter Olympic pool, a recreation pool, spa, locker rooms, solar power heating panel and more than 100 lounge chairs.
