Construction projects on hold in Seminole County (Fla.) district

From The Orlando Sentinel: Seminole County (Fla.) School Superintendent Bill Vogel has put a freeze on district construction projects until the school board decides whether it can afford to pay for them. The action comes after voters rejected a half-cent sales tax for school renovations and repairs. First to feel the freeze is Jackson Heights Middle School, where a $17 million renovation was to begin early next year. Remodeling at Lake Howell High to accommodate the school's growing culinary arts program also has been put on the back burner.
