High school construction completed in Shelby County, Ala.

The Shelby County (Ala.) district has completed construction of Calera High School. The two-story, 170,000-square-foot building includes a cafeteria, full kitchen, media center, two gymnasiums, auditorium, administrative offices, classrooms, band room and art room. The $25 million dollar facility is expected to welcom students on Aug. 7. The architect is Lathan Associates, and the builder is McCrory Building Co.
