Texas district says no to wind turbines at high school

From The Austin American-Statesman: Officials in Sinton, Texas, have rejected plans to build two wind turbines at a high school after hearing concerns about noise and distracting views. Two Sinton boards have refused to grant variances for construction of turbines at Sinton High School. Supporters said the energy generated would have helped the district save money, plus the turbines could be a learning experience for students. Sinton is 25 miles north of Corpus Christi.
