Smith College opens new Engineering and Molecular Science building

From The Smith College Sophian: Smith College in Northampton, Mass., has opened Ford Hall, a 140,000-square-foot Engineering and Molecular Science building. The building's design emphasizes energy efficiency through the use of photo-voltaic solar cells and maximum daylight exposure. The facility also incorporates features that enable it to be used as a learning lab for environmentally-focused engineers.
