Solar array planned for arena at Cleveland State University

Panels will cover about 70% of the roof at the Wolstein Center

From The Cleveland Plain Dealer: Cleveland State University is planning to to install a solar panel system that will cover about 70 percent of the roof at the Wolstein Center and provide about 15 percent of the power used at the arena and conference center. It will be the largest solar array in the Cleveland area. The project also will include about $600,000 for a roof restoration that includes removing the pea gravel that has attracted nesting gulls since the facility opened in 1991.
