South Carolina buys used buses from Kentucky, other states

From The Greenville News: South Carolina is selling junked buses for scrap metal to raise money to buy 130 castoff buses from Kentucky and other states. The 85 buses being bought from Kentucky, which average 17 years old, are safe, and they are in better condition than the more than a quarter-century-old buses with 450,000 miles they will be replacing, says Donald Tudor, director of the statewide bus system.
