Feb 16, 2010 2:54 PM

From The Southern: For the first time since the establishment of a “green fee,” Southern Illinois University Carbondale will be looking at proposals that will help move the university toward a greener and more sustainable campus. The SIUC Sustainability Council’s Green Fund Committee is accepting proposals to fund renewable and efficient energy, as well as sustainability projects and research. Since the initiation of the $10-per-semester fee last fall, the university has raised more than $200,000.
