Southern Methodist University buys parkland to expand campus

School pays $17 million for Potomac Park in University Park, Texas

From The Dallas Morning News: Southern Methodist University has agreed to pay $17 million to purchase Potomac Park and portions of nearby streets from University Park, Texas. The long-negotiated deal will enable SMU to expand the campus for new student housing and construction of a new education school.
