From The Springfield Republican: Cathedral High School in Springfield, Mass., heavily damaged last month by a tornado, will relocate to the vacant Memorial Elementary School in Wilbraham. Rebuilding the high school campus may take up to two years, diocesan officials say. St. Michael’s Academy Middle School in Springfield, also seriously damaged by the tornado, will move in with the elementary students on the grounds of Holy Cross Parish.
JUNE 2011...from The Springfield Republican: Massachusetts officials, have begun to assess the significant damage that public school buildings have sustained in Springfield because of recent tornadoes. Top representatives from the Massachusetts School Building Authority and other officials the Elias Brookings School and the Mary Dryden School, both heavily damaged. MSBA officials pledged a thorough but speedy assessment of all damages. The state will do everything in its power to help repair, renovate or replace those schools, they say.
