St. Helena Parish (La.) district wants to take back control of its middle school

From The Baton Rouge Advocate: The St. Helena Parish (La.) School Board has asked a federal court to return control of its middle school to the district. The board says the state of Louisiana’s continued control of the school is detrimental to the students and the parish. The state’s Recovery School District took over St. Helena Central Middle School in 2010.
