From The Tampa Tribune: St. Leo University in St. Leo, Fla., has bought a 37-acre tract near its campus for $3.9 million. The Benedictine Sisters of Florida sold the property, which includes the 100,000-square-foot Holy Name Monastery. The facility is too large and expensive for the nuns to continue operating. The university says it needs the land to expand its 186-acre campus. The St. Leo campus serves 2,200 students, but the college has almost 16,000 students nationwide at satellite campuses and online academies.
