Agreement frees $96.1 million in desegregation funds for St. Louis district

From The St. Louis Post-Dispatch: The St. Louis Public Schools will receive $96.1 million from a desegregation settlement agreement. It will enable the district to expand early childhood education, train principals, mentor teachers and add more technology to classrooms. It also clears a debt that was partly responsible for the district losing its accreditation in 2007.
