Stadium expansion at Southern University faces delays

The planned expansion of A.W. Mumford football stadium at Southern University in Baton Rouge, La., is facing delays. Officials had hoped to begin the project last January, but the university's foundation now says work on the 18-month project won't begin until this summer. The stadium expansion is part of a $60 million project that also includes four new apartment-style residence halls and an intramural sports complex. The architect is William McElroy.
