From Stateline.org: Although final nationwide numbers haven't been compiled, states have proposed a net total of $2.5 billion in cuts to K-12 school systems and $5 billion in cuts to higher education, according to the National Association of State Budget Officers. What makes the cuts more difficult is that administrators are running out of ways to keep the cuts from affecting classroom instruction.
