Urban County Council committee endorses plans for off-campus housing office at University of Kentucky
FromThe Lexington Herald-Leader: The Lexington Fayette (Ky.) Urban County Council's planning committee has taken two significant steps to manage the safety of student rental housing in the city. It has endorsed the University of Kentucky's plan for an off-campus student housing office to help manage concerns about rental units. The committee also asked the Building Inspection Task Force to look for ways the city could gain access rental units to make sure they comply with fire and safety codes.
