Louisiana district rejects bond issue

Voters in theSt. Helena Parish (La.) district have rejected a 25-year, $20.4 million bond issue for a new school complex for students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. School officials have said the three schools serving St. Helena Parish’s 1,280 public school students are old.
