St. Louis to consider school closings

The St. Louis School Board is scheduled to consider a pared-down plan to close four schools. The plan calls for closing three elementary school--Lyon, Mitchell and Gundlach--and an early childhood center, Wilkinson. About 640 students would be displaced. Four other elementaries slated for closure under an earlier proposal have been spared.: Shenandoah, Mark Twain, Simmons and Meramec.
