Authorities believe incident at Chester High School stemmed from gang rivalry.

An 11th-grader at Chester (Pa.) High School was shot and wounded outside the school Tuesday. Kareem York Jr., 17, is in the hospital recovering from a gunshot wound to the thigh. The incident sent the school into lockdown and left Chester-Upland School District officials scrambling to assure frantic parents that the 1,660-student high school is safe.
