Parents and community leaders say families shun struggling schools

From The New York Daily News: Crowding in some of the large, generalized high schools in the Queens borough of New York City appears to be up this fall, and the culprit could be the borough's high number of struggling schools. Local leaders and parents say families are pulling students out of schools that the city and state have identified as failing, and those students now are pushing enrollment too high in nearby high schools.
