Report says more oversight is needed for online schools

From The Washington Post: A new report says that too many virtual schools receive only minimal oversight and that there is no high-quality research showing that online education is an acceptable full-time replacement for traditional classrooms. The report, “Online K-12 Schooling in the U.S.: Uncertain Private Ventures in Need of Public Regulation,” was released by the National Education Policy Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder.
