Suburban Detroit development tries to lure school to site

Developers of Chesterfield Township, Mich., project hope to attract satellite college campus

From The Detroit News: Developers of a $200 million project in Chesterfield Township, Mich., say they're in talks to build a school on the site, possibly even a four-year public university. The developers say they are talking to "several" institutions, including universities and a cosmetology school, to bring a satellite campus or school to the 188-acre Chesterfield Towne Center. For years, the lack of a four-year university has been a major sore spot in Macomb County, the largest county in Michigan without one.
