Appeal denied in lawsuit alleging poor conditions at Suffolk, Va., school

From The Suffolk News-Herald: An appeals court has upheld the dismissal of a lawsuit brought against the Suffolk (Va.) school district by a former teacher who alleged that mold in her classroom caused her illness. Christina Hood taught fourth grade at Booker T. Washington Elementary School during the 2007-2008 school year. She sued in June 2009 contending that the district was covering up mold and humidity problems in the building. According to the lawsuit, Hood began to have medical problems a few days after beginning work at the school.
