Sunnyside (Wash.) district bond would pay for high school expansion

$11.4 million request would go before voters in March

TheSunnyside (Wash.) School District will ask voters in March to approve an $11.4 million bond to add on to Sunnyside High School and two elementary schools. Overall, the district plans $46.7 million worth of improvements. State matching funds will make up most of it. Most of the money will go to renovate and expand the high school so it can accommodate 1,650 students. It's been 20 years since Sunnyside High School has been renovated.
