Carlos Garcia has had a 37-year career in public education

From The San Francisco Chronicle: Carlos Garcia is retiring after five years as San Francisco school superintendent. Garcia, who also has led the Clark County (Nev.) district during his 37-year career in public education, has, by most accounts, brought stability and serenity to the San Francisco district and a greater focus on struggling schools and students.
