Donna Hargens has been chief academic officer in the Wake County (N.C.) district

From The Louisville Courier-Journal: Donna Hargens has been hired as superintendent of Jefferson County (Ky.) Public Schools. Hargens has been chief academic officer for Wake County (N.C.) district and served as interim superintendent in Wake County from March 2010 to January 2011.

From The Raleigh News & Observer: Wake County (N.C.) school district chief academic officer Donna Hargens will leave her post to head the Jefferson County (Ky.) school system. Hargens, 53, take over leadership of the 100,000-student school system and Aug. 1. She has worked in the Wake County system for more than 20 years.
