From The Charlotte Observer: Almost three weeks after Superintendent Peter Gorman's resignation, the Charlotte-Mecklenburg (N.C.) school board has named Chief Operating Officer Hugh Hattabaugh as interim leader. Hattabaugh will not be a candidate for the top post. He joined the district in July 2007 as an area superintendent.
