Tennessee establishes fund to encourage more charter schools

$40 million fund will help train leaders to operate charter campuses

From The Nashville Tennessean: Tennessee Gov. Bill Haslam has announced that the state is creating a $40 million fund to support the opening of more charter schools. Half of the Charter School Growth Fund will recruit and train leaders to start up new charter schools in Tennessee. The rest will be invested to help successful charter school management organizations open more campuses.
