Texas A&M and University of Texas are helping create a new university in Saudi Arabia.

Texas colleges are building campuses and relationships in the Middle East. Texas A&M University has an engineering school in Qatar. And this spring, A&M and the University of Texas at Austin agreed to multimillion dollar contracts to help create a new university in Saudi Arabia. The deals can raise the international profile of U.S. schools, while giving students a head start in the global economy. Universities in the Middle East want the expertise American schools can provide.
