FROM JUNE 2007: The interim police chief of the North Forest (Texas) school district has filed a whistle-blower lawsuit against the interim superintendent and four board members. Tyrone Walker alleges that he was suspended because he investigated fellow officers and school board members. Walker says the superintendent suspended him on March 9, claiming he stole a district computer. Walker says in his suit that he was bringing the computer to the Harris County District Attorney's Office, which was investigating potential criminal activity in the district's police department.
