Plan would tap state’s Permanent School Fund to buy real estate for charters

From The San Antonio Express-News: The Texas State Board of Education has approved a plan allowing the state to use a small portion of the state’s Permanent School Fund to buy real estate for charter schools. The board backed the plan in a 7-6 vote. The state attorney general or the Legislature must approve the proposal.
