Texas districts schedule bond elections

Austin (Texas) school trustees have agreed to place a $343.7 million bond referendum in May that would pay for a districtwide performing arts center, renovations of science classrooms, technology upgrades and an early childhood center.

ALSO: For the first time in almost a decade, the Highland Park (Texas) school board is asking voters to approve a bond measure. The $75.4 million proposal would repair aging schools. The board voted to put the measure on the May 4 ballot. To read The Dallas Morning News article, click here.
