Topeka district focuses on recycling

From The Topeka Capital-Journal: The Topeka (Kan.) district is saving green by going green. Officials say they are keeping closer tabs on the role recycling plays in school finances. In 2008, the district recycled 264 tons of paper, earning the district $3,400. But paper is just the beginning. The district’s service center is a hub for environmentally and financially friendly practices.
