After stopping his car, getting out and looking at the victim, Jones drove off, leaving the man fatally wounded on the roadside, according to the court file. He didn't call for help. Jones was charged with vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident with death or injuries. In 1988, he was confined for 37 days after he pleaded no contest to leaving the scene of an accident involving death.
