Teen convicted of attempted murder in attack on student outside Florida middle school

From The South Florida Sun-Sentinel: Wayne Treacy, 17, has been convicted of attempted murder in a 2010 kicking and stomping attack of a student outside Deerfield Beach (Fla.) Middle School in the Broward County district. The attack left Josie Lou Ratley, 15 at the time, permanently brain-damaged. The jury rejected defense claims that Treacy was legally insane at the time of the attack.
