Landmark Oregon elementary school will be torn down

A 70-year-old school deemed a state historical landmark inTualatin, Ore., can be torn down for redevelopment, the Tualatin City Council has decided. The council approve demolition of the old Tualatin Elementary School after concluding that redevelopment would be more beneficial than preservation of a building too expensive to update.
