Former officials at Tufts University arraigned on stealing charges

A former official at Tufts University in Medford, Mass., allegedly stole about $600,000 from his employer and used the money to go on luxury trips and to buy expensive goods from places such as Gucci, Tiffany, and Louis Vuitton. Raymond Rodriguez, who was the university's budget and fiscal coordinator for the Office of Student Activities between 2001 and 2007, has pleaded not guilty to larceny charges. Josephine Nealley, director of the Office of Student Activities between 1996 and 2007, also pleaded not guilty in a separate case in which she is accused of taking about $370,000 from the university.
