Families balking at tuition costs

From the University of Colorado at Boulder to Graland Country Day School in central Denver, schools are bracing for needier students and fewer who are willing to pay the costly tuition next year. At the state's tonier private K-12 schools and colleges, interest in admission has waned from a year ago, even at this early stage in the application game. And those who are applying want more financial help than in years past, officials say.
