Two schools are being rebuilt on military base in Washington state

Hillside and Carter Lake elementary schools are on Joint Base Lewis-McChord

News release from the U.S. Army: Joint Base Lewis-McChord and the Clover Park (Wash.) School District have broken ground on the future site of the base's Hillside Elementary School. Carter Lake Elementary, also on the base, will be rebuilt, too. After assessments of schools on military installations across the nation, the Department of Defense deemed Hillside and Carter Lake two of the top five most in need of immediate attention.
