Texas district mourns teacher fatally stabbed in his classroom

From The Tyler Morning Telegraph: The fatal stabbing of a teacher at John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas, was entirely unprovoked, Tyler Independent School District Superintendent Randy Reid says. Todd Henry, 52, died of stab wounds in the chest and neck. A student, 16, described as having behavioral problems, allegedly attacked Henry in his classroom.

ALSO: The Tyler school district has emphasized that the fatal stabbing of teacher Todd Henry was a "random act by an individual student," but the incident has raised concerns about security on the campus. Security at the campus includes two full-time district police officers, two-way radios for the administrators and security personnel to use, and 70 building surveillance cameras as well as a principal and six administrators on campus.
