Fire damages student housing at Central Florida

Students at a University of Central Florida residence hall were evacuated Friday night because of a two-alarm fire. The fire in Tower 4 on the northeast side of the Orlando campus broke out shortly before 10 p.m. and was extinguished about 25 minutes later. About 50 students were displaced for the night because of smoke and water damage. Most stayed with friends and family. As of Saturday evening, 25 of the displaced students had moved back into their rooms.
