Minnesota campus looks to grow

TheUniversity of Minnesota-Rochester plans to more than triple enrollment to 1,500 students within 10 years, according to long-term plans laid out by Chancellor Stephen Lehmkuhle. The school now has 403 students, half undergraduate and half graduate. Within 20 years, Lehmkhle hopes to see enrollment climb to 3,000 to 5,000 students. If enrollment increases that much, UMR's footprint also would need to expand. It now has 56,000 square feet spread primarily across the third and fourth floors of University Square.
