University of California will reopen center in downtown Sacramento

From The Sacramento Bee: The University of California's center in downtown Sacramento is reopening to students this summer. Budget cuts prompted the university to suspend the program last fall. But after hearing from parents, students and lawmakers, university administrators decided to restructure the program and give it another shot. The center will operate on a much smaller budget –- about $400,000 a year instead of the nearly $1 million a year it used to get.
