University of Cincinnati plans to close 2 residence halls for renovations

The University of Cincinnati will close two on-campus residence halls during the next several years for renovations. The residential portion of Siddall Hall along Calhoun Street will be closed next fall and should re-open in fall 2010. Calhoun Hall will close in fall 2010 and re-open the following year. Combined, the two buildings house about 1,130 students. Across campus, Morgens Hall, which has been closed for a $5 million renovation, will open next fall for incoming freshmen. Scioto Hall, which also has been closed, will reopen in fall 2010.
