University of Delaware buys site of former Chrysler plant

From The Philadelphia Inquirer: The University of Delaware, planning the largest expansion in its history, says it will buy a 272-acre site adjacent to its Newark campus that was formerly occupied by Chrysler Corp. Chrysler, which has declared bankruptcy, shut down the plant last year. University officials envision building laboratories and other science and research facilities, and also are considering a medical campus in partnership with other medical institutions.
